Improving health and well-being is our priority with activities that we aim to provide for additional needs. We aim to deliver an integrated approach to mental and physical health that recognises the importance of multi functional activities that allow all referrals to make their own decisions.
One of our greatest strengths is that participation is not restricted by a person’s underlying physical ability. Nonetheless, those with disabilities and restricted mobility can sometimes find other providers ill-prepared to meet their needs. These decisions would be around which activities they would like to participate and whether they would like to complete qualifications. We feel that people of all disabilities can achieve and with the correct approach and encouragement progression and achievement can take place.
We use the therapeutic distinctive contribution to improve health and well-being by incorporating a range of physical activity levels to encourage activity amongst the inactive.
Activities also incorporate therapeutic engagement and contact with ‘blue-green spaces’, and as a consequence help maintain positive mental health by improving psychological wellbeing and enhancing mood and self-esteem. By moderating technique or verity, referrals are able to remain physically active longer to participate in other activities to maintain development, progression and aid recovery. Each session can be tailored to suit the needs of each individual.
All our work is aimed at developing social skills, confidence, self-esteem and transferable skills for the future. We work with all referral to mix socially and encourage them to do things for themselves. The relaxed, informal nature of attending means you can weave in a lot of life skills to our programmes.
